About the Role:
The candidate will work as a FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation) Financial Technical Analyst and will assist DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) by providing subject matter expertise, in the areas of risk assessment and internal control, audit finding analysis, corrective action plan execution, business process improvement, and audit sustainment initiatives.
Ideal Candidate: will have at least some of the following:
- Experience with large and complex organizations
- Familiarity with Federal Government
- Experience with analyzing and assessing large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with deployment of solutions that support strategic initiatives.
- Experience with Oracle based Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
- Familiarity with development of reference guidance
- Familiarity with OUSD Comptroller policies and requirements
- Familiarity with Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)
- Familiarity with market-based appraisals
- Knowledge of valuation of long-lived assets including alternative valuation methodologies
- Familiarity with accounting requirements for Environmental Liabilities
- Familiarity with DoD's systems for tracking environmental liabilities.
- Knowledge of DoD's heritage assets
Experience: Four or more years of experience in one the following but not limited to:
- Business Strategy
- Change Management
- Business Process re-engineering
- Project Management
- Process Improvement
- Property, Plant, and Equipment
- Heritage Assets
- Environmental Liabilities
Education:
- Four-year degree or a graduate degree from an accredited institution with major/concentration in a relevant field including but not limited to:
- Accounting or Auditing
- Engineering
- Mathematics/Actuarial sciences
- Communications
- Environmental Science
- Government and Public Administration
- A minimum of 20 CPE professional education (CPE) credits each fiscal year.
